The function and form of your penis can have an extraordinary effect on your love life. Your self-esteem can be affected if you are unable to achieve or maintain a satisfactory erection or if you feel that the size of your penis is insufficient.
Men often feel uncomfortable or embarrassed about talking to their doctor when it comes to sexual dysfunction. This is quite normal, as these issues are private and personal. Our Medical staff are very approachable and understanding, and our goal is to help each patient feel comfortable.
P-Shot, also known as the Priapus shot is a solution for patients with erectile dysfunction (ED). The P-shot has the potential to give you more sustainable erections, penis enlargement, and increase sexual stamina. P-Shot Therapy is a drug-free, non-surgical, all-natural approach to treating ED. Also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (or PRP) Therapy, this treatment harnesses the restorative power of your own cells to improve the quality of your erections, and overall sexual sensation, satisfaction, and performance.
If Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is affecting your quality of life, we can help. At Regenerative Medicine of the Rockies, we offer specially designed treatments to address the root cause of your ED and help you enjoy an active, healthy, satisfying sex life again.
What is Erectile Dysfunction?
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is the inability to achieve and maintain an erection long enough to have sex. ED can be more than emasculating; it can ruin the quality of a man’s life. Unfortunately, it is a common condition, with over 23 million men in the US affected. Most sexually active men experience some form of ED during their lives, but these experiences are usually short-lived and resolve themselves. Persistent ED usually points to a larger health problem and has the potential to impact your quality of life severely.
The O-Shot, or “orgasm shot,” treats sexual dysfunction in women and stimulates the vagina to aid in achieving an orgasm. The O-Shot is a revolutionary procedure that has incredible health benefits beyond the sensual. It helps with incontinence, dryness and other vaginal conditions that are preventing you from living your life to the fullest.
Some women may find that becoming aroused and achieving orgasm is increasingly difficult due to a variety of factors. Statistics show that up to 63% of women experience sexual dysfunction. Regaining sensation and an enjoyable sex life is possible with The OShot® procedure.
The O-Shot® is a non-invasive, non-surgical approach to helping women have orgasms more easily and more often. Regenerative Medicine of The Rockies frequently provides the treatment to patients who are sexually healthy and in happy relationships but who want to recapture the sensation and drive of their younger years.
The O-Shot is not a drug, it’s a quick procedure performed comfortably and discretely in our Highlands Ranch location. Our specialist will prepare your own blood platelets and then gently inject it into the vaginal tissue. The theory proposed by the inventor, Dr. Charles Runels is that platelets naturally attract your own stem cells to the injected area, and “generate healthier and more functional tissue in the areas of sexual response in the vagina (G-Spot, O-Spot, Skene’s Glands, urethra, and vaginal wall).”
In addition to claiming to improve your sex life, The O-Shot also helps to “cure” urinary incontinence (when you accidentally leak when laughing, coughing or exercising). It’s true that many of the same women who have difficulty achieving orgasm also have problems with involuntary loss of urine since weak pelvic floor muscles can be responsible for both problems.
The O-Shot uses Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) which is derived from the patient’s own blood and injected into the clitoris and the anterior vaginal wall. PRP contains at least 7 different growth factors that cause new tissue growth with better function and with a younger appearance.
When platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is injected, then stem cells multiply and grow new younger tissue. In the same way, PRP regenerates the skin of the face, it appears PRP regenerates healthy vaginal tissue. So, using this same technology, the O-Shot ® procedure works by using PRP to stimulate stem cells to grow healthier vaginal tissue. And, the whole procedure for processing the blood and injecting the growth factors takes less than 30 minutes in the doctor’s office!
The Initial Sexual Consultation
During a patient’s first visit to Regenerative Medicine of The Rockies, Our Medical professional will have an open discussion with you about the symptoms that she has been experiencing and the benefits you wish to achieve. Then a thorough medical examination will be performed, and together, then the treatments that are appropriate for your needs as well as detail about the cost of treatment.
O-Shot can be an effective option for women who:
- Are having difficulty reaching climax.
- Are unable to orgasm as often as they had in years past.
- Are sexually healthy but want to take the sensation of sex to a higher level.
We will frequently see women who have been married for 20 years, who have a great relationship, but who are frustrated by how long it takes for them to achieve orgasm.
In some cases, patients will require a combination of approaches to get the biggest benefit from the O-Shot. For example, Heather Tribble FNP-BC may advise treatment with both O-Shot and BioTE® natural hormone replacement, or she may recommend other treatments to improve vaginal health, dryness, or incontinence.
What To Expect From The O-Shot®
There is no downtime. You may resume normal activities, including sex, on the same day as the procedure. Immediately after the injection, you may notice a full feeling vaginally, which typically resolves in about 1-3 days. There can be minor bleeding from the injection site, which typically resolves in 1-2 days. While the vagina is swollen, you may experience spraying of the urine stream, which resolves once the swelling resolves.
Because The O-Shot utilizes Platelet-Rich Plasma from a person’s own blood and is not a chemical or synthetic substance, it is completely safe.
What can the O-Shot Improve?
- Increased Sexual desire and arousal
- Decreased Dryness (resulting in painful intercourse) from menopause or breast cancer treatment.
- Stronger, More Intense, and More Frequent Orgasms
- Increased vaginal lubrication
- Urge urinary incontinence
- Stress urinary incontinence
- Treatment options for Lichen sclerosis
- Greater arousal from clitoral stimulation
- Tighten the introitus (vaginal opening)
- Increased Clitoral and Vaginal Sensitivity
- Decreased Painful Intercourse (Dyspareunia)
- Improved Skin on the Vulva
How is the O-Shot® Procedure Performed?
Step 1: A numbing cream is applied to the treatment area while you lay comfortably.
Step 2: Your blood sample is drawn and placed in a special centrifuge to spin for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Your Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is carefully drawn into two syringes.
Step 4: With an additional local anesthetic and even localized ice, the area becomes even more numb prior to the procedure.
Step 5: The two O-Shot PRP injections are given, taking only a few minutes. Easy!
Patients will receive a strong numbing ointment on the vaginal opening, the anterior wall of the vagina where the G-spot is located, and the clitoris. We gently make injections into each of these areas. The experience is mild enough that patients can return to their regular activities immediately after the visit. There are no restrictions following an O-Shot.
Our patients can expect to see the full results of their treatment within three months. Their tissue should become healthier and more sensitive, and their sexual response should be more easily triggered. Most of the women we treat come for follow-up injections with the O-Shot every six to eighteen months, with the majority coming in closer to once a year. Patients may require up to three O-Shot treatments to achieve their desired results.
More About the Procedure
During the procedure, one tube of blood is drawn and then placed into a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the liquid component. Around 1cc of platelet-rich plasma is then injected directly under the clitoris and a further 4cc in the upper vaginal area – between the top of the vagina and the urethra (the “o-spot”). Injections are quick and little pain, if any, is experienced due to the area being numbed prior to the injections.
The growth factors begin to work immediately after being injected into the genital area – first plumping the area physically with the solution but also on a more long-term basis as the growth factors activate the stem cells located in the vaginal and clitoral tissues.
Many patients experience noticeable improvements within the first 3 weeks, but the full regrowth of tissue is not complete until approximately 3 months after the injection. On average the O-Shot lasts about 12-18 months.
The O-Shot is for women of all ages who suffer from dull vaginal sensation, vaginal looseness due to age or childbirth, women who have never had an orgasm and women looking to improve sensation during sex. The O-Shot can also help with urinary incontinence and women suffering from common sexual disorders.
Commonly Asked Questions About O-Shot
Am I a good candidate for the O-Shot?
In general, women who are sexually healthy but who want to improve their ability to climax and the frequency at which they experience an orgasm are good candidates for the O-Shot.
Does getting the O-Shot hurt?
Getting the O-Shot is, surprisingly, not painful. The blood draw that we perform is a standard draw, no different than most women have experienced many times in their lives. Regenerative Medicine of the Rockies uses a powerful numbing ointment in every area where a woman will receive an injection. Most patients tell us that they don’t even feel the vaginal injections, and they are surprised by how little they feel the injection around the clitoris. There is no downtime and the patient can resume normal activity immediately (including sexual intercourse).
How long will the effects last?
The duration of the benefits that a patient gets from the O-Shot depends a lot on her body. We find that the more treatment a woman receives in a given area, the healthier the tissue becomes, and so it’s important to keep that balance to maintain the results. Repeated treatment over time will help patients learn the duration that they can expect.
The O-Shot offers a non-surgical, no-commitment option for women who want to orgasm more easily and more often. To learn more about the treatment, contact Regenerative Medicine of The Rockies online or by phone at (303) 683-5911.
What is the O-Shot®?
The O-Shot® is a procedure using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) for women who are suffering from decreased vaginal sensation, decreased or inability to achieve orgasm, pain during intercourse or leakage of urine. Heather Tribble FNP-BC extracts the PRP from the patient’s own blood and injects it into the clitoris and the anterior vaginal wall to add volume, and increase sensation and sensitivity in the treated area. He can also use the O-Shot to help with urinary incontinence. A numbing cream and injectable anesthetic make the procedure virtually pain free. Results can be noticed within just weeks and can last months or even years.
How many O-Shots will I need?
Some women choose to have more than one O-Shot procedure to provide additional support to the resolution of their problems. Heather Tribble FNP-BC can perform a second O-Shot six to eight weeks after the initial shot. Generally, the O-Shot will last one to two years or longer for some women. However, the average woman will usually need to repeat the procedure every 18 months. Some women will experience an immediate increase in sexual desire. More often, it takes about three months to fully enjoy the final results.*
*Individual results may vary.
Can I have the procedure done if I am pregnant or menstruating?
Women who are pregnant or lactating can’t be approved for the O-Shot procedure. However, the O-Shot can be safely administered at any other time during a woman’s cycle.
